Henry Greenwald DVM Seminar , Sunday April 20th 9-12 Noon, Tall Firs
Equestrian
Center, Redmond WA
Is your First Aid Kit adequate to take care of these emergencies?
• Your horse is colicing and the vet is an hour away
• You go to bring your horse in from the paddock and notice blood spurting
from a wound on the hock
• You hear a commotion in your horse’s turn-out paddock and see that he’s
standing
on 3 legs with a shoe half-off
Appropriate initial management of an injury can make a significant
difference
to healing and recovery.
This seminar will help you decide what you need in your first aid kit
enabling
you to handle immediate needs until the vet gets there.
Dr Henry Greenwald (Hank) is an equine vet interested in all aspects of
horse
health. He obtained his DVM degree Cum Laude from Washington State
University
in 1993 and he is certified in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture. Hank was a
farrier
for 10 years prior to veterinarian training. He brings a wealth of
clinical
experiences to his practice, including managing equine emergencies.
In this 3 hour seminar, Dr Greenwald will talk about the fundamentals of
emergency
management, as well as the supplies and accessories recommended for many
types
of wounds and injuries that should be included in every emergency kit. He
will
also discuss some of the new products on the market.
