Kristine Watson

Hello BCYR's, 2008 is here!

My name is Kristine Watson, I am 18 years old and own a 17.2 hh Dutch Warmblood Cross. His name is Larry, also known as "Aiycing" in the show ring (pronounced Icing). I bought Larry in May of 07', so we are still figuring out some things. But over all I am loving the things that we are learning together. Larry is 10, but will be 11 in July of 08'.  

But to back up abit. I started riding at the age of 3 on my Aunts Polish Arabian "Teddy Bear", who made me fall deeply in love with horses. By the age of five my Aunt got me into lessons in Southlands at a barn where I started riding a little pony named Spuds. It was there that I learnt how to ride english and got a taste for what was to come. When I turned 7, my Aunt had surprised me (and I think my mom too), by buying me a pony. Her name was Scarlett, and she was a full 1/4 horse that only stood at 13 hh. After growing out of Scarlett, and years of riding my Aunts old guys, I fell in love with the "ART" of Dressage. I was eager and willing to learn all I had to and are still learning today, to be able to follow in the footsteps left by some of the greatest names in Dressage. I started leasing a few horses, taking more lessons and aiming to get those high scores and have fun. I am currently riding with Rayme McMahon and Andrea Taylor. 

This 2008 year I am trying qualify for Nationals at FEI Junior. And next year I would like to try to get on the BCYR's team for YR's.
