Kristine Watson

Hello all,

My name is Kristine Watson and I own a BIG, grey Dutch Warmblood that most of you know as Larry. I bought him in the spring of 07' and coming up on 2 years of owning him, I am just loving it!

As of last summer, June 2008, I started working for Andrea Taylor (of whom is my current coach), and with working for her I have found a new profound passion for Dressage and the training scale. And with the work ethic my horse has, I am appreciating what it truly takes to be a great rider. Larry has opened the doors to a new world for me; now I just want to start my new adopted TB filly, and learn what it takes to start from scratch.  =P

But to back up a bit… I started riding at the age of 3 on my Aunts Polish Arabian "Teddy Bear", who made me fall deeply in love with horses. By the age of five my Aunt got me into lessons in Southlands at a barn where I started riding a little pony named Spuds. It was there that I learnt how to ride English and got a taste for what was to come. When I turned 7, my Aunt had surprised me (and I think my mom too), by buying me a pony. Her name was Scarlett, and she was a full 1/4 horse that only stood at 13 hh. After growing out of Scarlett, and years of riding my Aunts old guys, I fell in love with the "ART" of Dressage. I was eager and willing to learn all I had to and are still learning today, to be able to follow in the footsteps left by some of the greatest names in Dressage. I started leasing a few horses, taking more lessons and aiming to get those high scores; and of course, have fun!

With the show season ahead… this 09’ year I am planning on showing PSG, and gear towards next year for the YR team.
