Katie Morris and Violette (2008)

I am 18 yrs old and have been riding since I was 10.  I started because of a back injury and from that moment on I was hooked! 

I am currently a full time student at Douglas College, working at becoming a Registered Nurse.  When I am not at school or cramming for an up coming exam I am at the barn. 

I currently own two horses.  The first being my pony.  The first horse I ever bought and has stuck with me and will stick with me forever.  Sunny is a 14.3hh Palomino Pinto that is to dye for.  He is adorable and has taught me all the basics.  From there I moved on and I am now working on the next one.  Violette is a 7 yr old, 17.0hh Trakhner Mare that is awesome.  I bought her as a 5 yr old and we have both grown together.  She has definitely taught me to be a better rider!  I am currently in semi-training with Sandra Verda and get as many lessons a week as I can afford! 

Dressage is my true passion and is something that I will do for the rest of my life.  I hope to begin 2nd level with Violette this up coming show season and eventually do Young Riders with her (that is pretty much everyone's goal)!  If we never make it to young riders it wouldn't matter, as I love riding at whatever level I am able to do!
