Jessica York

Jessica York, nineteen years old, trains with Wendy Christoff in Delta, BC. She has been riding for fourteen years. Six years ago she began training her own four year old, Dutch Warmblood cross gelding, Paris Consul (Berkley) at training level. They now compete at the FEI Young Rider level. Throughout those years they won numerous Championships at competitions in the United States and Canada. Memorable highlights have included a Gold medal at the 2004 BC Summer Games, The prestigious Amherst Cheri Forbes Memorial Award for the highest combined scores at Third level, The Sportsmanship Award at Rising Stars in 2006, and the Rising Stars FEI Team Competition Gold medals in 2006 and 2007.

Jessica's goal has always been to qualify to attend the National Championships at the FEI Young Rider level and she aspires to have to honor of one day representing Canada as a Young Rider at the NAYRC.

Presently, Jessica is balancing her time between work, College, schooling Berkley, and training her promising five year old, Westphalia gelding, Artigas.
