Ashley Ingram

Ashley Ingram and Watari

Ashley started riding at Southlands at the age of ten at Canterbury Stables. Previous to riding, she was competing in ballet and jazz. Ashley is currently at school full time and working part time. Most of hertime is either spent in the saddle or driving to Richmond (where her horse is) from Deep Cove, North Vancouver. 2004 was a great year from Ashley and her horse, Kassie. Their high point was winning Training Level Championship at Autumn Classic. Kassie and Ashley were also the recipients of the Dressage CanadaÕs Bronze Medal Horse and Rider for their accomplishments in the Training Level. Ashley is also presently on the DeanÕs list at Capilano College.

Kassie (Watari) is a 13-year-old Warmblood out of Wallenstein. The Ingram family purchased her in December 2003 on Vancouver Island after their horse, Chrysolite, was put down due to a road accident. Previously, Kassie was showing and training in the hunter jumper world. She is a complete Diva with so much attitude and is very protective of her family. This year you will see Ashley and Kassie competing at first level.

Ashley's future plans consist of furthering her dressage training and completing her business degree. She plans to travel to Europe to not only educate herself with the culture but to expand on her dressage training. Ashley also looks forward to either breeding Kassie or buying a young horse to bring up.
